Fire pit ring, a review

The construction of a fire pit ring is generally in the form of a cylindrical piece built to contain the burning coal or firewood. It is cheap, portable, easy to assemble, and allows you to make your very own campfire virtually anywhere. Aside from the obvious advantage of looking good; it can also serve the decidedly enviable purpose of outdoor cooking. All you need is a grill, or maybe even your basic spit and skewer, and you are all set for the romance of cooking in the wild. While it's not exactly conducive to cordon bleu culinary fare, a fire pit ring still provides a fairly passable simulation of cooking and living off the land in the middle of the wilderness all you really need is a little imagination.
